Pint of Science: Through the Lens of the Visible and Invisible
Tuesday, May 19 | 7-9 PM
HK Brewing Co Taproom & Bar

Pint of Science is bringing another night of science talks — this time exploring the visible and invisible universe around us. Join researchers from the University of Utah for an approachable, fascinating evening covering everything from tiny galaxies and the James Webb Space Telescope to strange cosmic 'messengers' beyond visible light.

This event will feature talks from:
- Grace Telford — Tiny Galaxies as Time Machines. Learn how astronomers use small galaxies and data from the James Webb Space Telescope to look billions of years into the past and better understand the early universe.
- Qi Feng — Strange Telescopes for Strange Messengers. Explore the unusual instruments scientists use to detect cosmic signals beyond light and what they reveal about extreme environments in space.

Doors open at 6 PM. Seating is first come, first served, so arrive early to grab a drink and a spot before talks begin.

Our full bar will be open all evening with cocktails, zero-proof drinks, beer, cider, wine, and Han’s Kombucha brewed in-house.

Tickets are $2 and can be purchased online now or at the door!
