SLC VegFest is a free, community festival organized by the Utah Animal Rights Coalition (UARC), a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Salt Lake City. It celebrates veganism and plant-based eating, and is open to the public, family-friendly, and run entirely by volunteers.
The festival includes:
- Dozens of exhibitors, most of which are local businesses
- Vegan food from local restaurants and vendors
- An all-vegan Beer Garden
- Live music
- A kids area
- Opportunities to learn about helping animals in the community
The event is designed for Utah residents interested in helping animals, reducing their ecological footprint, supporting local green businesses, living healthier, or simply enjoying a fun outdoor festival.
According to previous surveys, nearly half of attendees were not vegan. SLC VegFest 2024 had an estimated 5,000 attendees.
