About
Boo at the Zoo is back at Utah’s Hogle Zoo! Dress in your favorite costume and join us for a daytime Halloween celebration for all ages. Trick-or-treat throughout the zoo while visiting your favorite animals and discovering fun wildlife facts along the way.
Please bring your own bag or bucket for trick-or-treating. Treats are available while supplies last. This event is included with regular zoo admission or free for zoo members.
Costume Contest & Family Photo Opportunity: Guests are encouraged to arrive in costume and take a family photo beneath the pumpkin entryway photo opportunity for a chance to win a zoo membership or membership renewal.
Costumes: We love seeing your Halloween creativity! For the safety of the animals and other guests, full face-covering masks, weapons (or anything resembling one), and inappropriate or graphic costumes are not allowed. Hogle Zoo reserves the right to deny entry to anyone whose costume is deemed unsafe or inappropriate by staff.
Dr. Frankenstein’s Final Show of the Season: Catch the last Dr. Frankenstein show of the year at 12:00 p.m. in the Wildlife Theater!
Rain or shine: Boo at the Zoo happens regardless of weather. Admission tickets are nonrefundable.
A sweet way to make a difference: Use the free PalmOil Scan app to make orangutan-friendly choices this Halloween and beyond. It’s a great way to support sustainable palm oil and protect wild habitats.
