Pioneer Day Celebration & Market

Join us at our 9th annual Pioneer Day Celebration for an unforgettable evening of high energy entertainment.

There will be a short dance party for kids with some special guests and performances by DJ Keith Allen, Bluegrass Thunder, and, to finish off the night, party band Made For Midnight.

Check out the market of over 40 local vendors provided by Sunset Farmers Markets & University Place stores setting up in The Orchard.

To finish out the celebration, there will be a choreographed firework show directly across from The Orchard. This year the firework launch area is closer to The Orchard.

The street between The Orchard and the North Parking Lot will be CLOSED during the event from 2:00–10:15 pm.

Grab treats from the food vendors or from the many restaurants in the food court and around the University Place campus.

The performances and the firework music will be broadcast on the radio. The station number will be announced via social media and on the event website the day of the event. If you are not on the University Place campus you may be too far away for the radio signal.

Reserving spots in The Orchard is prohibited prior to 4:00 PM.
To save a spot there must be at least one person present at all times. Any items left unattended will be moved.

Reminder: NO DOGS or other animals are allowed in The Orchard other than official Service Animals.
NO ALCOHOL/Smoking or Vaping allowed in The Orchard.
No unauthorized vendors. Only vendors approved by University Place and the Sunset Farmers Market will be allowed.

- 5:00–9:50 pm – Market
- 5:00–5:30 pm – Kid’s DJ Dance Party with Special Guests
- 5:30–6:30 pm – Bluegrass Thunder
- 6:30–7:30 pm – Pie Eating Contest & Stick Pull Contest – Prizes sponsored by TUCANOS!
- 7:30–9:30 pm – Made for Midnight
- 9:30 pm – Fireworks

Keith Allen
Keith Allen DJ brings over a decade of experience running music for all types of events here in northern Utah. He grew up on the dance floors of California, and has loved a good dance party ever since. With a love of all music styles and genres, he’s versatile with his style, and keeps a dance floor busy by catering the music to the crowd.

Bluegrass Thunder
Bluegrass Thunder is a bluegrass band based out of Utah Valley, specializing in bluegrass, old Western, & folk music.

Made For Midnight
Made For Midnight is an 8-piece, high-energy Utah cover band specializing in the most iconic, upbeat, dance-driven hits from the ’70s, ’80s, and today. Known for their incredible multi-part vocal harmonies, powerhouse musicianship, and a super-engaging stage presence, they turn every event into an unforgettable experience.

Parking in all parking garages is FREE public parking. UVX does have a stop at University Place. Mass transit options with UVX and Frontrunner are available.
