Murder on the Mountain returns for its third annual run, transforming the historic Wasatch Mountain Lodge into an immersive evening of mystery, music, and dining. Your evening begins with a short walk through the woods along a lighted path before arriving at the alpine lodge for a fully interactive performance by Salty Theatre Company and a multi-course dinner curated by Chef David Kimball.

Menu (selected items):
- The Gathering of Suspects Poisoned Pumpkin Bisque: Velvety roasted butternut squash and pumpkin soup with warm autumn spices, finished with toasted pumpkin seed oil and roasted pepitas. Served with artisan bread and whipped butter.
- The Widow’s Harvest Salad: Baby greens and radicchio with dried tart cherries, candied Utah pecans, and crumbled goat cheese. Served with artisan bread, whipped butter, and a blood-orange and dark balsamic vinaigrette on the side.
- The Main Suspect (choose one):
- The Sheriff’s Favorite Chicken Pot Pie: Free-range chicken in savory gravy with peas and carrots in a deep-dish crust. Served with creamy russet mashed potatoes.
- The Coroner’s Cut: Slow-braised Niman Ranch short rib on mashed potatoes with peas and carrots, braising cream with roasted wild mushrooms, finished table-side with roasted bone marrow, black pepper, and garlic butter.
- The Witch’s Alibi (Vegan): Roasted half acorn squash stuffed with wild rice, dried cranberries, toasted pumpkin seeds, and sage. Served over root vegetable purée with dark balsamic and blackberry reduction.
- Kids: Choice of house mac and cheese, buttered noodles, or chicken tenders and fries.
Desserts and extras:
- Winter Spice Sponge Cakes: Layered with skillet-charred apples and bourbon-maple mascarpone cream, toasted oat streusel.
- Key Lime Corpse Tartlet, Haunted Parsnip Cake, Strawberry Graveyard Trifle (serves up to 4).
- Tableside S'more’s (serves up to 4): Marshmallows, graham crackers, chocolate bars, and a tabletop burner.
- Hot Cocoa Bar (serves up to 4): House-made cocoa with mini marshmallows, peppermint, whipped cream, and sprinkles.
- Charcuterie (serves 2–4): Local cheese, cured meats, fresh and dried fruit, and Utah honey.
- Theater snacks (serves up to 4): Buttery popcorn, kettle corn, and assorted chocolates and candy.
- Cookies & Milk (serves up to 4): Chocolate chip cookies and milk.
Tickets and logistics:
- Tickets: $99 for adults, $79 for kids 12 and under. Tickets include dinner and the murder mystery performance.
- Capacity limited to 70 guests per night.
- Beer, wine, and cocktails available for purchase.
- Location: Wasatch Mountain Lodge, located above the Brighton base area. Guests walk a short, lighted path through the woods to reach the lodge.
