Graphite Range Hike | Landscapes Through Time

Join one of our seasonal interns on a hike to learn more about the history and ecology of the Graphite Range Community Forest.

The hike will take us through the current Saratoga PLAN-managed forest and the historic graphite mine from the early 20th century. We’ll explore how different interactions with the area have shaped the landscape we see today, and dive into the stories of Indigenous inhabitants, settlers, miners, and how the area became the community resource it is today.

Whether you want to learn more about what shaped the local landscape or just enjoy the fall weather, we hope to see you at this program!
