Introduction to Nature Journaling
Location
About
Nature journaling is the practice of observing and recording the natural world using a combination of words, drawings, and numbers—or what we call "The Three Languages" of nature journaling. You do not need to be an artist or a naturalist to begin. Simply bring your curiosity and interest in nature.
In this workshop you'll learn the basics of nature journaling. We will start with how to use words, pictures, and numbers to document nature, then incorporate a three-step approach, "I Notice, I Wonder, and It Reminds Me Of," that can be applied to any natural phenomenon.
Through engaging, hands-on activities, you'll discover how to apply this approach to any subject, enriching your journaling experience and deepening your connection to the world around you.
This session will take place at Hovey Pond Park.
This program is for adults and older teens of all levels of expertise. Supplies will be provided. Registration is required.
