Looking for a cute crochet project to level up your skills? Join us at Up-Stitch for an adorable granny square chicken class for advanced-beginner or intermediate crocheters!
What's an advanced beginner? If you know how to do a chain, single, half double, double, and treble crochet, you'll find this class is perfect for you.
Whether you're a granny square pro or have never made a square before, this is a great project for using up leftover yarn, extra squares that didn't quite turn out right, or just because you want a flock of cute crochet birds. Each chicken requires two granny squares of the same size — feel free to bring squares with you, or you can make some simple squares as part of the class. We'll also be using yarn to sew squares together, and crochet a comb, beak, and tail.
Materials:
- Bring your own yarn in colors of your choosing
- An appropriate crochet hook
- A tapestry needle for sewing
Or use materials provided by the shop.
