About

Anker’s Summer Shirt is a lightweight summer tee worked in Sandnes Garn Line, a blend of cotton, linen and viscose, available in bright, muted, or neutral colors. The sweater is worked from the top down.

The yoke is worked in sections of rib with increases in the round, followed by classic raglan increases when the stockinette section begins. The sleeves are worked at the end, either on double-pointed needles, on small circular needles, or using the Magic Loop technique. Anker’s Summer Shirt has no finishing other than weaving in ends.

Knitters must be able to cast on, knit in the round, and work knit and purl ribbing. Class sessions will teach making increases in the round, classic raglan increases, picking up stitches for the sleeves, and the Magic Loop technique.

NOTE: Sandnes Garn Line blooms when it is washed and blocked, producing a different appearance and measurement. The swatch needs to be washed and blocked before measuring for gauge. Knitters needing assistance knitting a swatch, choosing needles, or continuing their knitting are welcome to attend Yarn Therapy sessions listed below.
