STEAMER NO.10 THEATRE’S CAST TEENS PROGRAM PRESENTS
TWELFTH NIGHT
Written by William Shakespeare
Directed by Jacqueline Donnaruma
Twelfth Night is a Shakespearean romantic comedy about mistaken identity, separated twins (Viola and Sebastian), and complicated love triangles. Set in the land of Illyria, Viola, disguised as a male page named Cesario, falls for Duke Orsino, who loves Olivia, who in turn falls for Cesario, leading to confusion resolved by Sebastian’s arrival and a subplot involving tricks played on the steward Malvolio. The play explores themes of love, disguise, deception, and misrule.
