About

Join us on Saturday, April 11th to welcome back the Ominous Seapods to Lark Hall for another great night of music! Doors 7pm / Show 8pm.

Ominous Seapods are:
- Max Verna
- Tom Pirozzi
- Brian Mangini
- Ted Marotta

They were an integral part of the 90’s jamband scene, frequently performing with or alongside bands such as moe., Disco Biscuits and God Street Wine. Although one member, Dana Monteith, moved to Australia, they reformed and are currently playing select dates around the Northeast as a 4-piece, often with special guests.

Their shows include all the favorites from the Seapods' original catalog, along with a few choice covers and some brand new songs as well.

Ominous Seapods built a dedicated fanbase by touring the nation relentlessly throughout the 1990s and into the early 2000s. Notable venues include:
- Red Rocks (Colorado)
- Wetlands Preserve (NYC)
- House of Blues (Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago)

They released three studio albums and two live albums. Richard Gehr of Spin magazine called their album Jet Smooth Ride one of the top ten jam band releases of all time.

Their music is known for tight grooves, intense jams, catchy hooks and quirky humor. Each live Seapods show is a unique experience that captures the essence of their touring 90’s years while still evolving as a new and exciting project.

The Seapods have played a February show at Lark Hall to packed crowds for the previous two years and can’t wait to do it again in 2025. They will be joined by mandolin and guitar virtuoso Josh Himmelsbach and, as always, will have some surprises in store!
