White Elephant / Yankee Swap - Library Book Exchange!
Location
About
[For adults] Gather your friends and partake in our first ever White Elephant / Yankee Swap — Library Book Exchange!
Some call it a White Elephant, others know it as a Yankee Swap. In this library version, we’ll compete for wrapped batches of library books that you can steal from others. You’ll eventually return the books to the library.
How it works: You don’t have to bring anything. We’ll have dozens of festively wrapped batches of library books on display. Each batch will consist of five desirable books that share a common theme. Only one book in each batch will be viewable ahead of time, leaving the theme of the wrapped books a mystery. Browse the books and decide which group you want dibs on. One by one, each attendee will either select and unwrap a batch that interests them or steal a batch already selected by someone else. At the end, each participant will have a bunch of themed books to borrow.
