Art at APL Opening Reception

Old Glory

Art at APL, the Opalka Gallery-curated exhibition program at the Pine Hills Branch of the Albany Public Library, will host Old Glory, on view December 4, 2026, through May 8, 2027.

In recognition of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, a diverse group of artists was asked to reimagine the US flag. Ten artists use scale, shape, color, and materiality to create their own 21st-century adaptations of “Old Glory.”

A music performance by the Brad Monkell Trio is made possible in part by the Jim Clark Grant and Musician’s Union Local 14.
