The Tugboat Roundup is an annual gathering celebrating the maritime heritage of the Northeast Inland Waterways. Taking place the weekend after Labor Day, the 2026 event will be held September 11th, 12th, and 13th in Waterford, NY.
Visitors can experience a variety of activities, including:

- Tug tours
- Boat rides
- Tug talks
- Competitions
- Fireworks
- Children's activities
- Vendors
- Food
The event typically features about thirty tugs and other vessels such as working tugs, historic tugs, mini-tugs, and barges. Since its inception in 1999, over eighty different vessels have participated.
Waterford is situated at the confluence of the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers and is known for the Waterford Flight, a set of five locks that span the greatest height in the shortest distance in the world.
