Trick or Trot Pumpkin Run 5K

2026 Albany's Trick or Trot Pumpkin Run 5K — Saturday, October 24

The City of Albany’s Trick or Trot Pumpkin Run is a great race for all ages, featuring a Halloween-decorated course through Washington Park. You can run or walk the course and costumes are encouraged. This race features chip timing by ARE Event Productions. All registered runners will receive a wicking fabric shirt.

Warmups and lining up by 3:15pm. Race starts at 3:45pm for competitive runners who expect to finish in under 35 minutes, and 4:30pm for Fun Run and Walkers who expect to finish in 35+ minutes.

Before the race, enjoy our pre-party event from 12pm–4pm featuring FREE family-friendly entertainment, including free pumpkins, candy, vendors, decorations & DJ.

Following the race there will be awards recognition and posting of results at the Finish Line in Washington Park. Best Costume prizes will be selected for participating runners.

Awards:
- Awards will be given to the 1st Place Male, Female & Non-Binary.
- Top three male and female finishers in each of the following age categories will also receive awards: 15 and under; 16–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60–69; 70+.
- Costume Contest categories: Best Adult, Best Duo, Best Original and Best Kids. Contest for Trick or Trot registered runners only.

Paid Trick-or-Trot parking locations (a short walk from Washington Park):
- Parking Lot 2: 72 Central Ave. (between Central Ave & Western Ave)
- Parking Lot 3: 327 Washington Avenue (at Washington and Lexington Ave)
- Parking Lot 4: 124 Central Ave. (between Central Ave & Bradford St)

Ground rules and notes:
- No alcoholic beverages, glass containers of any kind, animals or pets (excludes ADA-defined service animals).
- All entry fees are final and non-refundable.
- The organizers reserve the right to cancel the race due to weather conditions that make the running surface hazardous.
- City of Albany, AREEP, and any affiliate or venue associated with the Trick or Trot Pumpkin Run 5K are not responsible for lost bibs.
- Ground rules are subject to change without notice. Exceptions for medical or childcare reasons may be addressed individually.

Strollers are welcome but we strongly encourage runners with strollers to start in the back for the safety of all involved.
