Film expert and Menands Public Library Director Lenny Zapala is offering the first of a five-installment series with the movie Sunset Boulevard.

Down and out film star Joe Gillis (William Holden) stumbles into the home of silent screen star Norma Desmond (Gloria Swanson). Gillis thinks he found a "sugar mama." He has actually fallen into a spider's web. With Eric Von Stroheim and Nancy Olson. Also Cecile B Demille and Hedda Hooper play themselves. The movie is directed by Billy Wilder.
