Ever wanted to know more about the oil painting you found at an estate sale? Or wondered the value of the dinner set that's been passed down your family?

Join us on Saturday, October 17, and have your attic treasures appraised by experts from the STAIR Galleries. Then stay for lunch and a talk by historian Kathy Sheehan!

Get the Armchair Tour of Rensselaer County by Rensselaer County and Troy City Historian Kathy Sheehan, and learn about some of the Hart Cluett Museum's attic treasures. Kathy will explore the history of the fourteen towns and two cities of Rensselaer County, highlighting the changing landscape and the impact it had on the development of the county. The talk will begin at 11:00 a.m. and repeat at 12:30 p.m.

Enjoy soup and sandwiches provided by the First Reformed Church of Wynantskill. Lunch will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

  • Each ticket includes a verbal appraisal for up to two items from the renowned experts of STAIR Galleries.
  • You are responsible for the transportation and movement of your item(s).
  • A limited number of tickets are available each hour timeframe of the event, and attendees will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis within their hour booking.
  • Appraisals will last up to 5 minutes per item.
