Birdability Week – Morning Birding
Location
About
Come check out some birds at the boat launch as we host this Birdability Week event. We’re excited to have Karin, an environmental educator with NY State Parks, join us for Birdability programming. We’ll have fun looking for birds at the Schoharie and Mohawk confluence.
A spotting scope on a tripod with a tablet adapter, binoculars, and a handheld scope will be available for everyone to use. Hard to say what we’ll see—maybe raptors, waterfowl, woodpeckers, bald eagles, herons, geese, and more.
Birdability Week celebrates birders with disabilities and other health concerns, and is an opportunity to share resources and ideas to help make the birding community accessible, inclusive, and welcoming to everybody. It’s an annual collection of events held during the third week of each October (October 19–25, 2026).
Cancelled for moderate to heavy rain. Please dress for the weather. Free and open to the public.
