About
BUGGY JIVE is a somewhat reclusive soul rock singer-songwriter quietly uploading music from a basement in Upstate New York. Equal parts Zeppelin, D’Angelo, Prince, and Joni in sound and sensibility, his lyrics often mine the literature of the past to make sense of the present—from Ellison to Morrison to Eliot to Didion—delicately balancing the heaviness with humor.
His forthcoming album, Daedalus Down, is a sequel of sorts to 2025’s award-winning Icarus Ascending. Set for a Fall 2026 release, Daedalus Down promises nine more acoustic soul rock songs contemplating songwriting and storytelling, love and literature, and the festering fears of a divided nation.
Recent accomplishments include:
- Opening slots for Macy Gray’s “Reset” tour kickoff and Ben Folds’ New Year’s Eve show
- A feature as a “Top Shelf” entry for NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest
- Songwriter of the Year, Album of the Year, Solo/Duo Artist of the Year, and Music Video of the Year wins at Upstate New York’s “Eddie” Awards
- Official showcases at Folk Alliance International conferences (FAI 2026, NERFA 2024, and FARM 2024)
Doors: 5:30 PM. Showtime: 7 PM.
The 443 is an intimate listening room with table service and seating for 75 people. Green squares and circles on the floor plan are bar-height tables; orange squares are regular-height tables.
Most seats are sold as “Tables for Two,” meaning each ticket admits two people. A limited number of single seats are available, and single attendees may share a table with other single attendees. Multiple tickets purchased under the same name will automatically be seated together, up to six people.
Requesting a specific table is a perk reserved for VIP Patron members. Membership information is available through the venue.
If anyone in your party needs special seating arrangements—such as for a walker, cane, service animal, wheelchair, or low-table requirement, or to sit with another party—email the venue after placing your order.
All tickets are will call. No need to print anything; give your name at the door.
