Shakedown Sunday is a monthly series at the 443 Social Club & Lounge, hosted by Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers and members of Dead to the Core, with special guests. The series celebrates the Grateful Dead—not just the band's originals but songs from across the roots and rock worlds they made their own.

Featured performer: Jes Sheldon. She started singing in church at age three, won CNY Radio Group’s ultimate idol contest in 2010, was the lead vocalist of Thistle Dew (a blues/rock band out of Chenango County), and was a founding member of the Lightkeepers, winners of the 2016 Brian Bourke Award for Best New Artist at the Syracuse Area Music Awards. Her current projects include Transient Kicks and Jes Sheldon and the Stewards of Sol.
