Longarm Quilting Training In-Person

Learn to operate Central’s Longarm Quilter and Pro-Stitcher. Patrons will get hands-on instruction with the Handi-Quilter Moxie, including preparing and loading projects, operating the longarm safely, and practicing different stitch modes. They’ll also be introduced to the Pro-Stitcher, a computerized quilting system integrated with the Makerspace’s HQ Moxie.

After training, patrons can schedule an appointment with Makerspace staff to use the HQ Moxie.

Patrons must have working knowledge of a domestic sewing machine and complete the Makerspace’s Sewing Training Checklist before registration. The checklist can be completed during Makerspace open hours or by appointment. For domestic sewing machine training, attend Sewing Help sessions on Fridays from 2:00–4:00 p.m.
