Join us in the Event Gallery at Bethel Woods for an evening of live music with Jazz at Jazz at Lincoln Center Presents - New Orleans Songbook: The Spirit of Mardi Gras featuring Luther Allison.
Led by acclaimed pianist Luther S. Allison, soulful vocalists, and an equally brilliant band, this concert celebrates the legendary composers and timeless songs of New Orleans. From Jelly Roll Morton and Louis Armstrong to Ellis Marsalis and James Black, the evening honors the city’s rich musical history.
Luther S. Allison says, “New Orleans is arguably the most important city in the history of Black American Music. The depth of its culture is bar none, and the influence of art from this city has undeniably shaped the development of nearly all genres of music.” He adds, “I am honored to pay tribute to my heroes of the New Orleans lineage with such a tremendous band.”
Seating is arranged cabaret-style, and tables may be shared. Seating is not assigned in advance; all tables provide views of the stage. The House Manager will arrange seating on the evening of the performance based on party size and ticket level.
A $25 food and beverage minimum per person applies. The Event Gallery opens 90 minutes before showtime for dinner and cocktail service.
