Altered Deck Contemplative

Unwind, slow down, and tap into your creative intuition in this peaceful, ongoing monthly workshop.

Transform ordinary playing cards into personal works of art using simple mixed-media techniques such as collage, paint, and stamping. Each card is a small canvas for self-expression, reflection, and calm.

Each month, we’ll explore a different creative technique or prompt. Follow the prompts we provide or use your own inspiration to build a personal deck over time. Come for one session or join us month after month as your deck grows and your creative practice evolves. No artistic experience needed—just bring a curious heart and a willingness to relax, experiment, and create. You can expect to complete at least 2 cards per class.

All classes at Thrifty Connections are intended for adults and suitable for individuals ages 16+.

Contemplative classes are intentionally crafted with the ambience in mind. Some classes may begin or end with a guided meditation or short guided breath work exercise, offering an opportunity to quiet the mind and body and reconnect with yourself through the creative process. Connect with others in quietness.

Ticket policy: All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Classes have limited capacity and require advance planning, preparation, and supplies, so cancellations cannot typically be refilled or costs recovered. If you’re unable to attend, your ticket may be transferred to a friend or donated. Please let us know ahead of time so we can update the guest list.
