The Mopco Improv Theatre continues its series of curated, themed personal story evenings with our Story Night on Friday, Sept. 18 at 8pm. The theme is Moving On.

Stories should run from 7–9 minutes and must be about actual events in the life of the storyteller. Although many associate The Mopco with comedy, stories need not be funny.

Kat Koppett, Mopco co-director, explains that the ideal personal story for this evening will be an honest tale about a moment of change or transformation in the life of the teller.

Submission requirements:
- A short (300 words maximum) written summary of the personal story
- Story should be approximately 7–9 minutes and about an actual event
- A 100-word-or-less bio of the storyteller, for promotion if their story is chosen
- A headshot (does not have to be a professional shot, but should be current and flattering)
- Any social media handles
- Contact information including email and phone number

Storytellers who are cast will be informed by Sept. 10 and scheduled for a Zoom rehearsal call. The final roster of storytellers will be made public on or around Sept. 11.

All storytellers cast will receive a $30 Mopco gift card and a free drink of their choice as an honorarium.
