“Place Your Bets on Art“ Pop-Up with a Purpose no.6

More than 40 artists are in the running at the 6th Pop Up exhibit at Gallery 5 in Downtown Schenectady from June 5 through June 7 at 236 State Street. Viewing of more than 100 paintings, sculptures, photographs, collages, prints and lithographs will be free and open to the public. Artist talks will be presented on June 7. Admission is free.
“This is our third year hosting an exhibit in June and three times is a charm,” said Steve Kowalski, president of the non-profit Gallery 5 board. “The pieces we selected to display are a winning combination of styles, imagination and artistry.”
Six of the 42 selected artists will talk about their craft and answer questions on June 7 every half hour beginning at 1 p.m., with Irina Kaplan, followed by Marty Hardin, Peggy Becker, George Martin, Valerie Adinolfi and Keith Landry.
All artworks will be for sale.
- Friday, June 5: 5 PM to 8 PM
- Saturday, June 6: 12 PM to 4 PM
- Sunday, June 7: 12 PM to 4 PM (artists begin at 1 PM)
