SPRING BREAK FUN PRESENTED BY THE SCHENECTADY COUNTY LEGISLATURE

Date & Time: Apr 8, 2026 — 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Location: Schenectady County Public Library, Niskayuna Branch, 240 Nott Street East, Niskayuna, NY 12309

Spring break is a great time for families to get out, have fun, and explore what’s happening right here in their own backyard. The Schenectady County Legislature has put together a full week of affordable, family-friendly activities, giving families the chance to try new things, spend time together, and make lasting memories.

This hands-on activity gives kids the chance to plant and grow their own seeds using soil from the Schenectady County Soil & Water Conservation District and discover how farms grow the food we eat. Kids will also create their own planters using repurposed plastic bottles, showing how everyday items can be reused instead of thrown away.

It's FREE, and no registration is required.
