Celebrate Women's History Month with Music

For All Ages — Join us for a Flute and Cello Duo, Duo Envol, to celebrate Women's History Month! Come and enjoy music written by women composers.

Duo Envol features Melanie Chirignan on flute and Laura Melnicoff on cello. As neighbors in New York’s Capital Region, they’ve combined their shared passion for undiscovered gems of music and undiscovered gems of performance venues. The gorgeous local natural landscape is also a shared inspiration, and they can often be found playing music with themes of nature.

They play classics like Bach and Mendelssohn, as well as new commissions, their own arrangements of fabulous duets from other instrumentation, a fistful of tangos, and a roster of works by women.

“Envol” is French for “flight” and “soaring,” and they invite you to join them on their travels.
