Do We Want to Be Like Music?

Wed, Apr 8 · 1:00 PM

Location

331 Delaware Avenue · Albany, NY

About

Why do we care for music so much that we want to sing or dance? Come drum with us!

Join us for this interactive workshop with Barbara Allen, flutist, and Alan Shapiro, jazz pianist. Through demonstrations, the children will have the thrill of hearing how these two instruments, though so different from each other, work together and add to each other to create music. They'll introduce your little ones to the idea that music puts opposites together (Aesthetic Realism).

This workshop ends with the kids playing percussion instruments in an ensemble.
