About

The Spooky Trail is open Tuesday through Sunday evenings through Halloween at Artisanal Brew Works, 617 Maple Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY. It transforms the wooded trail into an evening Halloween experience with glowing jack-o’-lanterns, eerie scenes, lights, sounds and spooky surprises.

The trail is closed Mondays. From 5:30–6:30 PM, the tamer experience is intended for younger children and guests who prefer things less spooky. From 6:30 PM until close, the lights, sounds and nighttime atmosphere become creepier. The trail is atmospheric rather than an intense haunted attraction, and the regular nightly trail does not feature scare actors jumping out at guests.

Admission is free for guests joining Artisanal Brew Works for food and/or drinks. Trail-only admission is $5 per person. No advance ticket or reservation is required.

Spooky Trail 2026 key dates:
- Oct. 3: Soft Opening
- Oct. 10: Grand Opening + Witch Way Wanderers
- Oct. 24: Night of the Jack-o-Lanterns
- Oct. 31: Spooky Trail Closing Night Celebration

Night of the Jack-o-Lanterns — Saturday, October 24

Bring a pumpkin to carve at Artisanal Brew Works from 2–5:30 PM, or bring one you’ve already carved at home. Kid-friendly carving supplies will be available. Hewitt’s Garden Center is next door if you need a pumpkin.

Live music from Margo Macero is 5–7 PM. At 5:30 PM, the pumpkins will be placed along the wooded trail. The trail will be open as a glowing gallery of community-carved jack-o-lanterns from 6–7:30 PM. Awards for Most Creative and Most Spooky designs begin at 7:30 PM, in these age groups:
- Youth: 10 & under
- Teen: ages 11–17
- Adult: ages 18+

Participants may take their pumpkins home after the awards. Battery-operated lights only; candles and open flames are not permitted on the trail.

Spooky Trail Closing Night Celebration — Saturday, October 31

The final night of the 2026 season will include candy for trick-or-treaters, fresh apple cider and Saratoga Apple cider donuts for the kiddos. The regular schedule applies: the tamer experience runs 5:30–6:30 PM, followed by the spookier nighttime experience from 6:30 PM until close.

Before you go:
- Bring a flashlight or use your phone’s light for darker portions of the trail.
- Wear appropriate footwear; the wooded trail has natural, uneven terrain.
- Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
