Petticoats of Steel

Celebrate the 19th Amendment: Women’s Right to Vote! This production tells the story of the battles fought and won for women’s suffrage through the voices of the brave women who fought for it, as well as those who fought—and still fight—for civil rights for all.

“Petticoats of Steel” uses primary sources to tell the true stories of New York State women, including Susan B. Anthony, Sojourner Truth, Ida B. Wells, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and their roles in gaining voting rights for women in the United States.
