About Lynn Grimes

Lynn Grimes is an artist and educator who has lived off the grid on the edge of the western Galisteo Basin, New Mexico, since 1990. Her love of the surrounding New Mexico landscape and interest in local natural history have always been the driving forces behind her artwork. She has documented her field explorations in sketchbooks and nature journals, and represented her home ground in landscape and botanical paintings, relief prints, handmade books, and zines. As an educator, Grimes has had a long career in the local public schools that has provided a deeper connection to her community and her local environment.
