If you saw Farah Siraj at Caffè Lena @ SPAC last year, you probably remember that voice. Now Jordan's “Musical Ambassadress” comes to the intimate Caffè Lena stage with a new project that brings Arabic music and flamenco together.

Farah returns with her forthcoming album, Miel y Limón, produced by 10-time Grammy Award winner Javier Limón. The project blends the passionate rhythms and guitar of flamenco with the melodic tradition of Arabic music, plus Farah's jazz influences and remarkable voice, creating music that feels both ancient and contemporary, intimate and expansive.

Farah has taken that voice from her native Jordan to stages including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the United Nations, the World Economic Forum, and the Nobel Peace Prize Forum. Her music explores love, longing, resilience, and the connections between people and cultures.

For this special concert, Farah is joined by her trio for an evening of virtuosic vocals, flamenco guitar, percussion, storytelling, and improvisation. Rather than placing Arabic and Spanish traditions side by side, the musicians let them speak to one another, moving from delicate and haunting to fiery and rhythmic.

"Miel y Limón" ("Honey and Lemon") is a fitting name for music of contrasts: sweetness and bite, vulnerability and strength, tradition and reinvention. And hearing that extraordinary voice from just a few feet away at Caffè Lena? That's going to be something else.
