About

Saxophonist and composer Keith Pray is a native of upstate New York who returned to the Capital Region in 2006 after a lengthy tenure in New York City. He performs regularly with the Keith Pray Quartet, the Soul Jazz Revival and the Big Soul Ensemble, and freelances in many other groups in the area.

He taught saxophone at SUNY Oneonta and arranging and jazz history at Schenectady County Community College. He is currently the director of Proctor’s Theater Summer Jazz Institute and teaches instrumental music in the Schenectady City School District.

He has shared the stage with hundreds of gifted musicians including:

- Jerry Weldon

His unique style and talent have allowed him to perform and record across the spectrum of today’s music, including appearances on:
