Unken Brew

UNKEN BREW is a high-energy acoustic group that blends bluegrass, blues, and Americana with undeniable on-stage chemistry.

Founded in 2024 by Bruce Thompson (guitar, dobro) and David Leiberman (guitar, harmonica), the band hit its full stride with the addition of Sam Katz (mandolin) and Arden Yonkers (upright bass).

They bring a lively energy to every performance and feature songs from some of the world’s greatest songwriters as well as their own original tunes.

They’ve independently performed with Greensky Bluegrass, the Hackensaw Boys, Shakey Graves, Andy Statman, and even one of the Marsalis’s.

Whether it’s a haunting ballad, cooking train song or good ol’ stomping blues, Unken Brew will get your feet wiggling.
