Performers

Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer’s Old Time Coalition brings together Appalachian music and dance, harmony singing, instrumental playing, and percussive dance. Grammy winners Fink and Marxer are joined by Rachel Eddy, Becky Hill, and Em Hammond.

Laura Cortese is a fiddle player and singer who performs internationally and builds musical community. Her solo show features original American folk songs, with audiences invited to stamp, clap, and sing along.

Catskill Old Time Stringband features Becca Wintle and Monica Lisa Mills on vocals and guitar, Sally Freund on upright bass, and Lillian Kology on banjo. Rooted in traditional Appalachian music, the band plays fiddle tunes and harmony songs and hosts community square dances and jams. They will also lead an open jam on Saturday, October 10, at the Jay Gould Memorial Church Carriage House.
