IAHM's 2026 CELTIC INFLUENCES PERFORMANCE SERIES - Cécilia

Back by popular demand, IAHM continues its "Celtic Influences" performance series with world-renowned Canadian group, Cécilia.

The Irish American Heritage Museum is proud to continue its quarterly event entitled "IAHM's Celtic Influences Performance Series." These shows, held at Albany's intimate performance space (IAHM's Flanagan Theater), highlight performers and acts from around the globe that derive their energy and art from Irish culture. The Flanagan Theater was nominated for the Thomas Edison Music Awards Show and Hall of Fame award for Best Alternative Venue category in 2026.

IAHM welcomes back — and by very popular demand — Cécilia, a band comprised of three of Canada's finest musicians. As well as performing at IAHM in 2025 and Old Songs (Altamont, NY), Music Haven (Schenectady) and the Scottish Games (Altamont, NY) in 2026, Cécilia's fan base is growing in New York state. Cécilia's traditional, Celtic-influenced music and warm presence bring infectious, overflowing energy.

"Those who know" know what the band's expertise and energy feels like in IAHM's Flanagan Theater, Albany's most intimate venue. Their energy, their joyful, fresh and high-spirited sound raises our dome'd roof to the stars . . . .

Cécilia combines the best of many musical worlds in their explorations of traditional, Celtic and Quebecois music. Every piece is skillfully arranged and highlighted with influences from contemporary, classical, jazz and swing styles. Cécilia's recent debut album Accent is an offering full of vibrant rhythms and melodies, resonating with a unique warmth and richness of expression.

Each performance by Cécilia is a call to come out and share — not only in the joy of three dedicated musicians making music together, but also in the creation with Timi, Erin, and Louis of a unique and memorable musical experience. You'll find yourself with a smile that lasts long after the final notes of Cécilia's accordion, piano, and violin have melted away.
