Q&A with Suzi Yoonessi (Director) and Kat Cunning (Actor)
Plans of travel get postponed for Babs (Melissa Leo) after her daughter Willow (Kat Cunning) drops off her two young children and splits. Babs needs time to figure out how to pay off their medical bills, so she resorts to an online service that you will just have to witness to believe.
Suzi Yoonessi’s Mother Wolf is, among other things, a perfect vehicle for the supremely talented Academy Award®-winner Leo, who is also a producer of this comedy drama. The film was shot in the Hudson Valley and features Mary Stuart Masterson (Fried Green Tomatoes) as Nell, the flustered principal of a local school’s day camp where Babs drops off her grandkids, and Matt Walsh (VEEP) as Doug, the local fuzz and a potential suitor. – Adam Schartoff
