Basic Watercolors with Kris Woodward

About
Build a strong foundation in watercolor by learning the essential techniques every beginning artist needs. This hands-on workshop focuses on skill-building—not creating a finished painting—so you can practice with confidence and develop a toolkit for future projects. You’ll explore flat washes, graded washes, wet-in-wet techniques, and streaked washes, then try texture studies that add depth, interest, and personality to your work.
Kris will demonstrate each technique and guide you through practice exercises, offering tips on brushes, paper, masking, and cropping to help you understand how materials affect your results. Supplies are not included. A PDF supply list is available in the workshop description.
