Painting a Lake Scene in Watercolors with Kris Woodward

Sat, Nov 7 · 10:30 AMto1:00 PM

Location

57 Fuller Road · Albany, NY

About

Capture the quiet serenity of a lake in this watercolor workshop designed to strengthen your observational skills and simplify your landscape process. You’ll learn how to paint islands, water reflections, rocks, and pines while building a scene that feels peaceful, balanced, and full of natural atmosphere.

Kris will begin with a demonstration emphasizing reflections and evergreens—two elements that bring movement and structure to a lake landscape. With guided instruction and plenty of hands-on practice, you’ll learn how to simplify shapes, control value, and create a cohesive composition that captures the essence of a lakeside moment.

This workshop is for watercolor artists looking to deepen their landscape skills and gain confidence in painting water, trees, and natural textures. Supplies are not included. A PDF supply list is available in the workshop description.
