Afghan Kite Making & Flying Workshop - 2 Day Event

Have you ever made a kite?

At this 2-day workshop, artist Ahmad Shah Wali leads participants through the creation and flying of their own kites, weather permitting. Day 1 will be spent learning about the craftsmanship required to create a kite capable of flying and learning about the kite’s cultural significance in Afghanistan. Kite construction will also begin on Day 1.

On Day 2, participants will complete and try to fly their kites.

For ages 10-17.
