Join New York State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) and the Friends of Peebles Island for a presentation on invasive species at 6:30pm on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the Visitor's Center at the Peebles Island State Park Office.

OPRHP Environmental Stewardship Technician Hilary Cresko will detail which invasive species are impacting Northeast forests and waterbodies, what's being done to address their spread, and how the public can play a positive role in prevention and mitigation.

The presentation will explore:
- characteristics of healthy native ecosystems
- how to identify and report invasive species
- the effects of climate change on invasives
