About

This program is for adults. Registration is required. Capacity has been reached. Additional registrants will be placed on the waitlist.

Bring your old family photographs and have them professionally scanned into digital files you can preserve, organize, and share with loved ones. Whether it’s wedding pictures, baby photos, military photos, or snapshots of everyday life, these memories deserve to be protected before they’re lost to time. If possible, please bring a flash drive.

How to get the most out of your PHOTO ALBUM RESCUE session:
- Remove photos from albums (if possible)
- If your photos are in albums, please take them out ahead of time. This allows us to scan them more safely, quickly, and at higher quality. (If you’re not comfortable removing them, that’s okay — we’ll help.)

  • Write on the back of photos
  • This is the most important step. Both sides of the photos will be scanned. Write gently on the back: names, dates (or approximate year), locations, events, relationships.
  • Tip: Future generations won’t know what you know — help them now.
  • Keep photos loose and organized
  • Loose photos in an envelope or small box work best. Try to keep related photos together. Don’t worry about perfection — we’ll help sort as needed.
  • Bring what you can — don’t stress
  • You do not need to prepare everything perfectly. Even a small stack of photos is worth saving.

You will leave this event with your original photos and your digitized photos on a memory stick that can be viewed using any computer and some televisions.
