Are you already birding using binoculars and looking to up your beginner birding game to become an intermediate birder? Whether you watch birds at feeders outside your kitchen window or casually spy on birds while you're hiking the trails, this bird outing will share some tips and tricks for spotting birds and learning to identify them. Please remember to bring your binoculars! This program meets at the Karner Barrens Trailhead (#1) kiosk.

Directions and location:
- Trailhead #1, Karner Barrens (meet at the kiosk)
- From NYS I-90: Take I-90 (East or West) to I-87 (Northway) North.
- From I-87: Take exit 2W (Rt 5 West, Central Ave). Follow Rt 5 for 2 miles then turn left onto Rt 155 (New Karner Rd). Continue on Rt 155 for about 1.2 miles.
- The Discovery Center is located on the left at 195 New Karner Road. The trailhead is at the rear of the building.
