About
Gráinne Duffy is an Irish guitarist, singer and songwriter from County Monaghan whose music blends blues, soul and Americana with Celtic, pop and rock influences. Described by The Sunday Times as “a blues singer of real integrity,” Duffy has built an international reputation through powerful vocals, melodic guitar work, and emotionally honest songwriting.
Since releasing her debut album Out Of The Dark in 2007, Duffy has performed at major festivals including Glastonbury Festival, Woodford Folk Festival in Australia, Tremblant International Festival in Canada, and Mahindra Blues Festival in India.
She was named “Best Vocalist” and “Best Solo Artist” in the Blues Matters! Writers Poll in 2014 and 2015.
Her later albums include Voodoo Blues and Dirt Woman Blues; Dirt Woman Blues reached #1 on the USA RMR Top 50 chart for seven consecutive weeks. That album was produced alongside collaborators including Marc Ford and Chris Goldsmith and led to performances at major U.S. festivals including Bluesapalooza, Telluride Blues & Brews, and W. C. Handy Blues Festival.
In 2025 she performed on the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise and recorded a new album in Los Angeles with an all-star group of musicians and producers, continuing her blend of roots-driven blues and classic rock influences.
