We’re hosting an old-school potluck (emphasis on old).

In celebration of this summer’s reading theme, we’re embarking on a little culinary time travel. Stop by the front desk to pick a recipe from Tasting History: Explore the Past through 4,000 Years of Recipes, and we’ll make you a copy to take home and cook.

Together, we’ll bring dishes from the past back to life, and find out how they hold up for the modern table.

• Crockpots are encouraged (bring a serving utensil too).
