About

Green Kill Sessions presents Guitars A Go Go — Sunday, May 24, 8 PM.

Guitars A Go Go is an edge-pushing improvisational partnership of two acclaimed and very “switched-on” Hudson Valley– and NYC-based guitarists, Rick Warren and Sal Cataldi (aka Spaghetti Eastern Music). Armed with a plethora of effects pedals and a quest for meditative and melodic adventures, the duo has been performing at Hudson Valley and NYC venues and galleries since early 2019.

Their debut album, Travel Advisory, was released in June 2020. The heart of the album is a quartet of live-in-studio duets recorded as the COVID-19 quarantine took hold—layered, looped dreamscapes recorded without overdubs, ranging from meditatively peaceful soundscapes to textured noise and dissonance (10 to 19+ minutes). Five additional tracks were produced in remote collaboration. The album has received critical notice and airplay on indie stations including WFMU, Radio Free Brooklyn, SOMA FM, Radio Spiral, Dark Tunnel Radio, and others.

Green Kill Sessions program
Musicians and performers can shine on stage—and online—through Green Kill’s one-hour livestream shows. Performances happen Friday through Sunday evenings (except the first and third Fridays). Each event features a small in-person audience (30 seats) and global livestream access.

Performers are expected to help promote their shows, arrive early for sound checks, and send in equipment lists ahead of time. The venue provides a full sound and lighting setup, including drums, amps, a digital piano, and livestream equipment. Earnings from ticket sales are split among performers, the venue, and the sound engineer. Green Kill shares event highlights on YouTube and Substack, giving performers lasting, professional-quality footage to use for promotion.
