About

Holly Miranda is a versatile songwriter, music producer, and maker of things from Detroit who emerged onto the New York music scene in the late ’90s. She co-founded The Jealous Girlfriends in the early aughts within the Williamsburg, Brooklyn art scene; the band released two records. Her debut solo album, The Magician’s Private Library (2010, XL Recordings), along with later projects like Mutual Horse and Virtual Funeral, showcases her evolving and diverse artistry. She has also performed and worked with artists including Lou Reed, Karen O, Kelis, Leslie Gore, and Tegan and Sara. Currently, Holly is part of a team building a new music venue and community space in the Hudson Valley of New York.

Amber Rubarth’s lyrical ability conveys the simplest things through vivid detail. Refreshingly unique in her style, she has built an eclectic collection of songs, from the fun and frivolous to the raw and destructive. Her voice crosses genres, and her lyrics and musings on life appeal to a diverse audience.

Touring from South Africa to Japan and throughout Europe and North America, Rubarth has performed at Carnegie Hall and Glastonbury Festival (UK), and was handpicked to open for Emmylou Harris, Richie Havens, Dr. Ralph Stanley, and Kenny Loggins. A grand prize winner of the NPR Mountain Stage contest, songwriting is at the heart of how she navigates the world.

Rubarth made her acting debut starring in the feature film AMERICAN FOLK, which won numerous festivals and awards. She has scored and composed for films including Sundance Film Festival winner JOAN RIVERS: A PIECE OF WORK and the award-winning documentary DESERT RUNNERS. She recently co-produced a double album featuring 24 artists for the documentary FANTASTIC FUNGI. Her latest album, COVER CROP, is a meditation on sustainability and interconnectivity through 15 cover songs, self-produced and recorded at her cottage in the woods of the Hudson Valley, New York.
