Pictures from an Exhibition with Daniele Rustioni

Daniele Rustioni, newly appointed Principal Guest Conductor of The Metropolitan Opera, makes his SPAC debut leading Mussorgsky’s Pictures from an Exhibition. The program also features Korngold’s Violin Concerto, with celebrated violinist Bomsori Kim making her SPAC and Orchestra debut, and Rossini’s Overture to Semiramide.

- Premier parking is available as an optional upgrade. Limited spaces are available; purchase at checkout for $20.

About the artists
Daniele Rustioni (born in Milan) is Principal Guest Conductor of the Metropolitan Opera and holds posts including Principal Guest Conductor Designate of the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Music Director Emeritus of the Opéra National de Lyon, Music Director Laureate of the Ulster Orchestra, and Conductor Emeritus of the Orchestra della Toscana. He studied at the Milan Conservatory, La Scala Academy, Accademia Musicale Chigiana, and the Royal Academy of Music.

Bomsori Kim (born in South Korea) is a prizewinner of the ARD International Music Competition, Tchaikovsky International Competition, Queen Elisabeth Competition, and the International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition. She performs on the 1725 Guarnerius del Gesù violin “ex-Moller,” on generous loan from The Samsung Foundation of Culture and The Stradivari Society of Chicago. Her discography with Deutsche Grammophon includes Violin on Stage and a duo album with Rafał Blechacz; her recording of the Nielsen Violin Concerto with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and Fabio Luisi won the 2024 BBC Music Magazine Award.

- Cameras with detachable lenses
- Bikes, rollerblades, skateboards, scooters, etc.
- Pets (except ADA-approved service animals)
- Illegal drugs or substances
- Weapons of any kind

Ground rules
- Security procedure: all bags will be inspected and all personnel may be searched via metal detectors. Bags include coolers, baskets, tote bags, purses, diaper bags, strollers, and other containers. Any item not permitted should be disposed of or returned to your vehicle.
- Smoking is permitted on SPAC grounds in designated areas only; please dispose of cigarette butts properly.
- Guests may bring blankets and umbrellas but should be considerate of others; disruptive items may be removed.
- Reentry is permitted for SPAC-produced events with a reentry wristband obtained from staff at the gates prior to exiting.
- SPAC has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment. Report any concerns immediately to SPAC staff or security.

Amphitheater house rules for classical performances
- "House" refers to seating inside the amphitheater; these rules apply to SPAC-produced events.
- Beverages are permitted in the amphitheater, but food is not.
- Late arrivals: guests arriving after the performance begins will not be seated until an appropriate opportunity, at the discretion of House Staff.
- Please turn off or silence mobile devices prior to the start of the program; if you must use a device in an emergency, step outside to avoid disturbing others.
- Video, photography, audio, or cell phone recording during performances is prohibited.
