Nutcracker, Short and Sweet- Sensory Friendly Performance

Nutcracker, Short and Sweet is a local, family-oriented rendition of a holiday ballet, featuring Tchaikovsky’s music, favorite dances performed by Hudson Valley dancers, engaging narration, and costumes. Narrated from Clara’s point of view, the performance is one hour long and suited to audiences ages 3 and older.

Sensory-friendly performances are designed to create a welcoming and comfortable arts experience for people with autism, sensory sensitivities, or other social, learning, or cognitive disabilities. Modifications often include:
- Lower sound levels, especially for startling or loud sounds

- Guests may talk and leave their seats during the performance
