The NY Capital District Renaissance Festival is a two-weekend event taking place June 13-14 and June 20-21, 2026, from 11am to 6pm each day at Indian Ladder Farms in Altamont, NY.
Features include full-contact jousting by Equus Nobilis, a pub crawl with craft beers and ciders (which includes a collectible ceramic mug), and an artisan marketplace with over 80 vendors selling handcrafted jewelry, pottery, weapons, and Renaissance-themed garb.
Family-friendly activities include:
- Knighting ceremonies
- Costume contests
- Princess meet-and-greets
- Balloon art in the Kids Kingdom
The festival offers over 60 live performances throughout its run and welcomes dogs.
Tickets start at $20 for adults (discounted from $25), $5 for kids, and children under 2 are free. A 4-Day Band ticket is available from $64 (discounted from $80). Tickets can be purchased online.
This is the festival's 12th annual year and it expects more than 10,000 attendees.
